About the Enerit team:
The Enerit team uniquely combines knowledge of:
- Energy in industry and buildings, including renewable energy
- Formal management systems, such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18000, IS 393
- Software and IT systems for these sectors.
Enerit combines the skills of a number of energy engineering specialists with the management systems skills gained by staff members at its sister company, QSET Ltd, an internationally exporting software provider.
Team members have been responsible for energy management projects, international class energy research and development and delivery of environmental software. This work has been delivered to public sector and multinational corporations throughout Europe and North America, in particular, Ireland, UK, France, Netherlands, USA and Mexico.
Since 2007, Enerit has advised some of Europe's largest industrial companies in preperation for the roll-out of EN 16001, using the IS 393 energy management standard. Enerit was also part of the reviewing team when the standard "EN 16001:2009 Energy Management Systems - Requirements with Guidance for Use" was being drafted. Enerit has also developed EN 16001 software to help organisations reduce their energy costs using the systematic approach of the standard.

Regarding the EU Energy Performance and Buildings Directive (EPBD), Enerit has advised Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) on the required IT systems for calculations, administration and data storage. Enerit wrote the requirement specification and carried out the acceptance testing of the calculation software to be used for Building Energy Rating (BER) in Ireland.
For one of the largest owners of public sector buildings in Ireland, Enerit has been responsible for energy training and awareness for staff. In this project, Enerit used computer-monitored energy data and tracking of energy-saving results to motivate office staff.
The Enerit team has developed and delivered environment and quality management software in Europe and USA to multinational customers like Philips, Alcatel-Lucent, Loctite, Heineken, BNFL, Arjowiggins, ABB, and Alstom.
